Hong Liang

Hong Liang, an artist from China, now lives in Birmingham, UK. Although she has received a systematic education in traditional Chinese literati painting during her artistic experience, she is more concerned with contemporary social themes, especially women, environmental protection and the order of the times. She highlights the pure and serene painting style in her works, where it seems that all the chaos and clamour stops, making people feel as if they are in the fresh air, relaxing both physically and mentally. Through her creations, Hong Liang hopes to arouse people’s attention to contemporary social issues and convey positive social values.
