Sylvie is a visual artist based in Launceston, Tasmania. Working predominantly in mixed media, she loves to paint expressive portraits. Her (mostly) feminine subjects are infused with a hint of ‘fairytale’ whimsy which helps connect Sylvie to her ‘inner child’ and love for all things vintage, curious and creative. She has enjoyed showing her work both overseas and within Australia and is actively involved with the vibrant local arts scene here in Launceston. She has a studio at home from which she paints everyday. Her kitten and children keep her busy the rest of the time!
