Marzana Mahmood

My artistry is a vibrant exploration of the human condition, deeply rooted in my Bangladeshi heritage while balancing tradition and modernity. Influenced by artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Frida Kahlo and Édouard Manet, my use of bold colours and expressive brushstrokes captures the emotional and psychological depths of my subjects, reflecting inner turmoil and passion. My paintings explores identity, resilience, and vulnerability, while surreal elements, add a dreamlike quality. I am currently exploring the power of capturing and focusing on fleeting moments and the emotional intensity they can depict. Through these diverse influences, my paintings offer a commentary on the interplay between chaos and order, inviting my audience to engage with the complexities of human emotions and experiences.
